Lares trek to Machu Picchu 4D/3N

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We’ll travel through the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley toward the Lares Valley, passing through traditional villages, farming areas, and mountain scenery.

Along the way, we’ll visit the famous Lares Hot Springs, where you can relax in the natural thermal pools surrounded by mountains before starting the hike.

After this relaxing experience, we’ll continue toward the starting point of the hike. Before setting out, you’ll meet the trekking team and receive important information about the route and safety guidelines.

The trek begins through beautiful Andean landscapes, where you’ll see local communities, farmlands, and traditional homes. This area is known for preserving ancient customs and maintaining a strong connection with nature.

We’ll continue toward the first campsite, where our team will prepare dinner and you can rest surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Andes.

After breakfast, we begin one of the most scenic hiking days of the trek.
The trail takes us through high Andean landscapes, surrounded by mountains, lakes, and valleys. Along the route, you may see alpacas, llamas, and local farmers carrying on their traditional ways of life.
Today we cross one of the highest points of the trek. Although the climb can be challenging due to the altitude, reaching the pass offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
After enjoying the scenery, we begin descending toward the Patacancha Valley, where we continue through peaceful landscapes and traditional communities.
At the campsite, you can relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and rest after a rewarding day of hiking.

After breakfast, you will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to the entrance of Machu Picchu.

Your guide will assist you with the entry process according to the route assigned to your ticket. Inside the citadel, you’ll enjoy a guided tour where you’ll learn about the history, architecture, temples, terraces, and mysteries of this incredible Inca sanctuary.

The specific sites visited depend on the assigned route. Some routes focus more on panoramic viewpoints, while others include temples, terraces, and ceremonial areas.
After exploring Machu Picchu, you’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Depending on your train schedule, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch, explore the town, or relax before boarding the return train.

Upon arrival at the train station, our transportation will take you back to Cusco.
The tour ends with a drop-off near your hotel.

Depending on the assigned route, you may visit different areas of Machu Picchu. Some routes focus more on panoramic viewpoints and classic photo spots, while others offer closer access to temples, terraces, and ceremonial areas. Your guide will help you understand the significance of each site and make the most of your visit.

After the guided tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time depending on your train schedule. You can enjoy lunch, explore the town, buy souvenirs, or relax before boarding your return train.

At the scheduled time, you’ll take the train back toward Cusco. Upon arrival at the train station, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

The tour ends with a drop-off near your hotel or at a central location in Cusco.
